We had a lovely day, a couple of caches at Lake Ginn, some playing at the playground at John Knight Park, followed up by lunch and a new pair of shoes for Tom at the mall. We were very blessed with a beautiful winter day of the sun shining, albeit a little bit chilly!

and then a view across the Lake … really very beautiful!

William and I took off on the trailer bike, in search of a playground. Sam came along for a ride as well, but he left early. It is nice to find new little playgrounds hidden away in the suburbs just off of the bike tracks ..

We got our trailer bike all set up, and thought this morning would be the perfect time to test it out! I looked up a local cache so that we could go riding with a purpose and off we went! Jordan found this cache pretty quickly all by himself, you can see the photos of this on our Geocaching Log.
After the cache, we rode by via the playground. William was feeling a whole heap better after having a bit of a crappy day yesterday, although I am sure he will fade a bit by later this afternoon.
Ignore the terrible photo of me, but here is our trailer bike in action, and a couple of playground shots!

William was a little bit nervous to begin with, but as you can see from this photo he was a lot more comfortable on it by the end! Hopefully there will be lots more riding adventures to be had!

We had a bit of promotional opportunity at Landcare today. WIN News was doing a bit of publicity, and the boys went down in their Scout Uniform. And then would you believe that we missed it! I totally forgot to set up the DVD recorder, what a bugger! Anyway I am on the search for it, and have contacted a couple of media monitoring groups to try and get a copy. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
Just a few snaps taken ..

And of course there was the obligatory playground visit

How cool is that? Twister in the playground. It was a lot of fun!

As is our way we checked out the local playgrounds as well. Being along the beach there were plenty to choose from! On the way to the airport home we decided to have a go with one that we passed in SouthPort (just up a bit from central Surfers Paradise), it was a nice stop and a way for the kids to burn off some energy before the hour drive to the airport.
It was a bit overcast and muggy, so don’t ask me why Tom is wearing a jumper. The same child who wears shorts and t-shirts when it is 13C, is wearing a jumper when it is 29C .. go figure!
Anyway here is the collection of playground photos …

Check out the hair .. he is growing it and I have said it is ok so long as he looks after it .. now he always has a brush in his hand!

This is one of my favourite photos of Jordan, it is out of focus, and the light isn’t great, but it is just capturing the moment! Love it!

I totally love taking photos in playgrounds, you can capture the best moments. Consequently there are probably more photos of the boys on playgrounds than anywhere else but that is life. I guess it does reflect our life, we visit a lot of playgrounds .. LOL

Well it has been a while since I participated in PhotoHunt, and as I am sitting here doing data entry for the Jamboree I thought I might put a pic up!
This weeks theme is LOW .. so I thought about this photo of Tom making a Sand Angel in the Playground at Easter. He had to get LOW on the ground to do it .. LOL yeah I know it is a bit of a stretch …

Anyway I had better get back to that data entry .. or maybe I will do some blog hopping!

As is our way we went off to the Playground today. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining albeit a little cool! The kids were killing each other, so I decided to get everyone out of the house, hop on our bikes and ride down to the playground, also to try and encourage William to ride his new bike with no training wheels!
To show off my photos today, I will show a collage that I put together with Picassa … it is quite a neat program and I can automatically sync with my online albums and don’t have to upload things. Brilliant!
Anyway here is what we get up to at the playground …

What is Good Friday all about, well for someone like me who is not all that religious, it is about spending time with family and friends. Getting together with those people that you love, and maybe have not seen for some time!
So we managed to catch up with family, the boys spent some time with Samara and Amalie, mind you we couldn’t get a good photo and this photo of all of them being silly is the best we could get.

Lots of fun had this morning!
Then we had friends around, I am so glad we are able to touch base again, it is one of the things we miss so much!
After lunch we were off to the playground, of course …

Kirsten & Ramsay are having a blast, don’t ya think? We didn’t make it to Marshmallow Park, but still lots of laughs were had!
And of course, my boys climbing, running, exploring …. well just being my boys …

And a beautiful Sand-Angel …

So that was our Good Friday .. I hope your day was as beautiful as mine, and even if you aren’t religious you have used it as a day of reflection!

Well, I finally made it to the Japanese Garden this morning. Jordan decided to come with me and we enjoyed some quiet time together. He loves to have ‘chat time’ with his mum, and I must admit I enjoy it to!

It was so peaceful and quiet there, Jordan and I really enjoyed it! He kept telling me it was so relaxing and beautiful, and he was so pleased he decided to come with me. lol!

Then there was the obligatory playground … Sam and the boys had already wandered down there!

The drama-queen at work, he looks in so much pain, but he wasn’t. Tom & Jordan were spinning on that spinner thing (that is the technical name for it, isn’t it?) and they went a tad too fast and Tom went flying. Mind you he got up and went on it again!

Then on the walk home we went down the otherside of the road, so when we reached the words we played on the new ones! I kind of like this shot, something about the word “Dreams” evokes emotions with my boys climbing all over it!

So that has been my day today, I took a nap, felt worse that I did to begin with, and am now sitting in the peace and quiet, as Sam and the Boys have gone down to the playground again!

Marshmallow Playground, yep, would you believe that it is what it is called. LOL I am not sure at all why it is called that, but that was truly it’s name. I even found an online reference .. Marshmallow Playground. Jordan and I had wanted to go to a walk to the Japanese Garden, but as we closed in on the entrance, William spied the Playground across the road, so we our route was changed. I must admit I was not happy, not being in a good mood to start with I didn’t need that, but after watching the kids play, and laughing and enjoying, well my mood improved.
On the walk down …

At the playground ….
