As well as off-site activities, there was a heap of on-site activities as well. Low-Ropes, Brownsea Island, Circus, Laser Skirmish, the list goes on. The Scouts didn’t get to do all the activities, but they did get to do a fair few of them.
Some more pics, courtesy of Emu, of Jordan combating the Low Ropes.

ugh .. just ignore the colour of the socks, they all went into the bin on returning home!

Another off-site activity was Water Activities at Chowder Bay. I don’t know all of the specifics, but I do know that Jordan had a ball (as did all the Scouts I talked to about it).
Here are some photos that Jordan too of the day (not sure what is with the diagonal photos, I think he was being artistic!)

Sam and theĀ boys came for a visit on Visitors Day. It was great to see them, and fantastic that they could experience a taste of what Jordan & I were doing. I think they were all surprised at the lack of ‘luxuries’. It was a shame that it was such a hot day, and that it was so busy (over 20 000 at Cataract Park that day).
I didn’t have my camera with me when we were wandering around, but I did snap this photo of them with my phone just as they were leaving.

Emu also took this photo outside their Gateway which was great!

LOL .. well Jordan came into visit everyday of the Jamboree. Sometimes to sit and chat, other times to get some more money, and others to scam some cheap soft-drink!
You can see the left over sunburn from his day at Jamberoo, the the coating of dye from Skirmish, and the very impressive bruise from Skateboarding. But he was loving it!

One of the off-site activities at the Jamboree was for the Scouts to go to Jamberoo, a water activities park in NSW just outside Wollongong. A fantastic way to start the Jamboree, mind you Jordan came back absolutely beetroot in colour. He got so sunburnt on his face, a few days later his ears were all blistered … yuck! But I am pleased to say that was the last time he got burnt the whole Jamboree, so maybe he learnt something.
Here is one snippet photo that we happily got from Emu.
