Pretty Flowers

Just been playing around with photos of flowers that I have taken. I have probably posted some of these elsewhere, but I added my black frame, so you get to see them again.

I have also added a few pages, one for each of the boys with some layouts that I have created. You can see the links up the top.

Today’s Flowers: Yellow

Photobucket
Some beautiful yellow flowers growing in my garden, unfortunately I am not that good in the garden so can’t tell you the name of them, but they are beautiful!

Today’s Flowers: The Rose

Photobucket

From the immortal words of Better Midler:

Some say love, it is a river
that drowns the tender reed.
Some say love, it is a razor
that leaves your soul to bleed.
Some say love, it is a hunger,
an endless aching need.
I say love, it is a flower,
and you its only seed.
It’s the heart afraid of breaking
that never learns to dance.
It’s the dream afraid of waking
that never takes the chance.
It’s the one who won’t be taken,
who cannot seem to give,
and the soul afraid of dyin’
that never learns to live.
When the night has been too lonely
and the road has been to long,
and you think that love is only
for the lucky and the strong,
just remember in the winter
far beneath the bitter snows
lies the seed that with the sun’s love
in the spring becomes the rose.
I took these photos every couple or days or so of a rose growing in my garden.
