Bowral Day trip

We decided to go on a day trip up to Bowral and back for a spot of geocaching and to visit the home of ‘The Don’. In the end we didn’t get a chance to see the Bradman Museum, maybe next time. But it was a nice a day with the Glews with a spot of geocaching done as well …. 13 caches in all!

Queensland Part IV – The Airport Edition

So, like I said I didn’t take a heap of photos over our holiday. Enough to keep the memories alive though! These last three shots were taken at the airport as we were waiting for our plane to go home ..

Jordan just chilling, reading a Simpsons Comic!

IMG_0944_400

Ok, so Tom didn’t want to have his photo taken! He definately has to be in the mood that one!

IMG_0943_400

And lastly William, playing quietly (actually I don’t think it was quietly as his dinosaurs always seem to make a lot of noise!), you may notice that he is in his pyjamas, not the outfit he was wearing earlier at the playground (see previous post), unfortunately he got a bit car sick and made a mess of himself, and on the motorway the pyjamas were the first thing I found!

So that was our Queensland Adventure, well bits of it anyway. I must admit I found the Theme Park thing much more enjoyable than I expected to, and I can’t wait until next time when learn from some of the mistakes we made this time (nothing drastic, but timing etc).

Now I better go find something to photograph so I can blog about that next …

Queensland Part II – Movie World

As promised, here are a few more holiday snaps .. this time from our day at Movie World. Again I didn’t take heaps of photos, but did manage a few candid shots!

Jordan meeting up with The Flash, and The Green Lantern! He was rather impressed with that!

IMG_0801_400

The boys and Nanny on Yosemite Sam’s Train, William couldn’t get enough of it, although it was rather mild for the others.

William cruising on the cars.

IMG_0816_400

Thomas, looking rather less than impressed at the temperature of the water .. hehe

IMG_0829_400

Fun on the Merry-go-Round, William went on this over and over again!

IMG_0838_400

Thomas’ turn on the cars.

We went on a few other rides, the bigger ones. But as I was having a go no photos were taken. Jordan just started getting the taste for the bigger scarier rides so I can see that next time we are going to have to split up so that he can do the ‘big’ rides with Dad.

A great day, that wasn’t too warm and a lot of fun! We managed to spend over 5 hours there which surprised me, I really thought the kids would have had enough after 2-3 hours.

Queensland Part I

I didn’t take a heap of photos whilst we were away, not sure why, guess we were just too busy doing things (plus I didn’t want to take my camera to White-Water World) … so here are a few photos taken our first morning, enjoying breakfast out on the balcony ..

IMG_0771_400

The beautiful sunrise .. it is about 7.00am so I missed the actual sunrise, but it was still beautiful ..

IMG_0772_400

Don’t look down …

IMG_0773_400

The view towards Surfers Paradise .. the very tall building is the Q1, the tallest residential building in the world ..

IMG_0774_400

I took quite a few photos at Movie World, I just have to work out the best ones to share, and then I took  some photos at a playground we stopped at on the way to Brisbane Airport at Southport. Those will be over the next couple of days :)

Family Gathering

Funerals and Weddings, it is the time when families get together and catch up. I always come away from these events enjoying myself, despite the sadness. My Nanny’s funeral was today, and although this isn’t a great photo I love it, because it is all of use together!

A quick LO

I have been a bit quiet the last few days. My Nanny passed away on friday, and even though I am ok, I am a bit sad and it is hard to find too much positive to post about.

I am off to Adelaide this afternoon for tomorrow’s funeral, and although for sad reasons, it is the first time for such a big family reunion in years, so that will be nice.

Anyway here is a layout, done with a freebie QP downloaded from somewhere (oops ..)

The beginning of a heritage album

I am planning on putting together a little hybrid album, I saw these neat accordian folded albums at KMart, still thinking what to do. Anyway I am using some Brag Book Pages I have downloaded around the web, it is basically the only freebie I download these days with the exception of a couple of Designers. It is harsh of me to say, seeing as I give out heaps of freebies, but I find a lot of them really aren’t worth downloading, but then I was there once, a beginner starting out, trying to get a feel so I do sympathise and support where I can!

Anyway here are the first couple of pages (sorry no credits, I wasn’t planning on posting them so I forget to keep track and QP’s I generally chuck in the same folder.. :$)

The journaling is written for the boys, as this will be for them, hopefully to take to school so they can share a bit of their family history.

Ultimate Blog Party

Ok, this is my first year participating, so hopefully I do it all right! I read 5 minutes for mom, good fun, lots of info and great networking!

Ultimate Blog Party 2009

So visit the link above, by clicking the banner ..

So more about us? and why is this blog called ‘Mischief and Mayhem’?

Well because that is what our life is like .. there are the three boys that get into just about everything. They are active, intelligent, funny and determined boys. All at school now, with the oldest, Jordan in his final year of primary school. You can meet the boys here: Jordan, Thomas and William.

We are into Scouts, Gymnastics, Guitar, Swimming .. that is probably enough to keep us busy.

I share lots of photos of our day to day life as I attempt to undertake project 365 .. I love Scrapbooking, both digitally and traditionally, although lately the traditional has fallen by the wayside. I also do some basic beading, and enjoy crafty stuff generally. Reading also features strongly in this house, and all the boys have just started the Chief Minister’s Reading Challenge.

So I think that is about it about us for time being, you can browse around and find all sorts of things. I have a Snapshots of 2008 scrapbook page that I am working on, and the Project 365 2009 that you can check out as well.
