Why is it, that even though it was stinking hot, and much more comfortable to sit around quietly, little boys still need to go run around … in their beanies ????

hehe I just love that Tom is wearing wool lined snow boots, and Will is wearing rubber boots … with shorts .. and crazy beanies …

Don’t ya just love sunny spring days, I know I do! Outside with friends and family, bbq’s, a few drinks … ahhh it doesn’t get any better than that!
And then just quickly, what the boys have been creating with their Bionicles. Some are the ‘official’ ones and some are their own creations.

The backyard is in serious need of work, the lawn needs mowing, plants need the dead bits trimmed off, weeds need pulling, dead plants need removing and summer vegies need planting … and yet … it is the most perfect setting for backyard cricket …
And yes, these photos were taken this morning, and yes it is the middle of winter, and it was 8C and yes, Tom is in a t-shirt and shorts … lol … don’t let the sun fool you, it is freezing!

On the weekend, Tom had a friend over. It is fantastic that he is starting to have friends come over and play. Tonight he has another friend staying over, this is a first so it could be interesting.
Anyway, last weekend, when we went to the playground the boys got stuck into a game they were playing. They started building a ‘fire’, why is it that kids always do that .. I reckon I did as well .. mind you the two boys were Joey Scouts, maybe they were just makinga campfire. Well, we had to leave the playground and I told the boys they could make a ‘fire’ with the wood that is at the back of the house (we have a woodfire BBQ here .. can’t wait!), but then I didn’t think anything more of it.
Then today, as I went and hung out the washing I saw it (not sure why I didn’t see it earlier in the week, other things must have grabbed my attention) .. hehe .. I am very glad they didn’t stoke it up, maybe I need to explain exactly where the wood goes … but then maybe not ..

Today I took the time to go wandering around the back yard, if for nothing else just to get up and move around, I have found myself to be a bit stagnate lately, and then I end up feeling depressed and miserable .. so up and moved I did!
I quite like our garden, and am looking forward to being able to plant some veggies 
I am also going to set up a couple of herb pots which is going to be fun.
But then I looked around and saw it .. sometimes I truly wonder what goes through my children’s minds … lol

It happens, I become a bit incapacitated and stuff ends up everywhere. Don’t get me wrong, Sam has done an amazing job keeping up with everything after working all day, but there are just some things that stress me out, and that is when stuff is just left .. left lying around to get damaged and lost …. I guess the little boy is going to be the one is who upset of this stuff gets damaged ..
